It was the harvest moon this weekend and we are just finishing up extracting our honey from this year's harvest. After a difficult couple of years, the honey bees did very well this season and provided us with a beautiful crop of some of the best wildflower honey we've tasted. It's always a very busy time of the year in the fall, and not only have we been extracting and bottling honey, but we've also been feeding and preparing the bees for the upcoming winter months. A big thank you to all our customers, family and friends who have supported 1000 Islands Honey. We'll be contacting everyone who is part of our CSA and pre-ordered honey, over the next few days. We had a very good harvest this year and there is still honey available so if you would like to try some of our beautiful, unpasteurized wildflower honey, you can order on our website. Go bees!
